Our client is one of the most popular household brands in UAE & Kerala and they’ve pioneered in successfully giving the first innovative and elite experience for the local crowd in buying white goods.

They are currently the unbeatable stalwarts in Kerala flaunting numerous hypermarkets, white goods and electronic retail stores.

They have grown as a large network within a short period of time. Their major businesses are appliances, hypermarket chains, electronic devices and packed foods.

Problem
Statement

The client approached us for a complete end to end RTLS solution to manage their hypermart warehouse items movement from one store to another, keep track of items stock availability, etc. They also told us that they need all the data and movement information of stock in real-time and they didn’t want to click a button or run a program to view the updates. All they need is the data, alerts, messages and everything must be in real-time and can also be managed from a smartphone.

Based on their requirements we’ve sketched out the following points:

During the movement of good from the warehouse to store, users should get alerts in real-time in case goods are being shipped to the wrong location

To keep the quality of dairy products, users will need real-time monitoring of temperature and alerting in case of variations

For inventory management, users will need a smart inventory management and real-time location analytics system, which also enables the user to know stocks in any tub.

Our client has hypermarts in major parts of Kerala, hence the business is very big. They have multiple warehouses across the state so we need to manage and process the data into a single cloud environment. The company wanted to have AI-based monitoring and stock management facility to identify any shortage in products and alert it to the nearest warehouse. They also wanted to ensure the quality of their dairy products with a real-time temperature monitoring system. Our idea is:

Solution

An accurate and efficient mechanism to identify the misplacement of goods:

As there is a lot of movement of goods from warehouses to stores there are chances of products getting delivered to the wrong store. In order to overcome this issue we’ve implemented our two products, smart beacon tags & Cloud Sense (smart sensors)

Goods moving out from the warehouse will be attached with smart tags, vehicles will have CloudSense (sensor) devices installed.

Vehicles and goods will be categorized location-wise.

The location assigned for a vehicle will be mapped with a CloudSense (sensor) attached to the goods in it.

If any asset enters in the wrong location, alerts will be generated to notify the user.

Maintaining the quality of dairy products with real-time temperature monitoring:

Temperature sensors that can detect the temperature and humidity will be installed in the dairy product storage unit.

The temperature and humidity level of the storage units can be managed by the user by setting the minimum and maximum safe limits in the Temperature sensor.

When the temperature/humidity exceeds the safe limit, notifications will be generated to alert the user.

Goods in the warehouse will have smart tags attached.

Users will have the assistplus mobile application installed in their smartphones.
